Pachamama
Alliance
The
mission of Pachamama that has grown out of a partnership with
the Achuar tribe in the rainforest of Ecuador. It is two-fold:
• To halt the destruction of the Earth's rainforests and
the loss of its indigenous cultures and wisdom;
• To discover workable ways in which the knowledge and wisdom
inherent in both traditional cultures and the modern world can
blend into a new global vision of sustainability for us all.
The Pachamama Alliance is based on the recognition that those
of us in the modern world share a deep connection with the people
who call the rainforest their home-each of us having a critical
stake in the health and well being of this vital element in our
