Vinit Allen
Vinit Allen is Executive Director of Sustainable World Coalition.
Vinit (pronounced “Vih-neet”) brings a 30-year entrepreneurial and activist background to bear on his work in sustainability education. His love and respect for nature acts as a guide, and combining that with the goal of a just human society–the idea that everyone deserves the same basic opportunities for a decent life–comprises the Coalition’s mission of creating a healthy future for all.
He is the visionary behind and publisher of the 2011 International Book Award-winning Sustainable World Sourcebook, the accompanying Learning & Engagement Guide, and the multi-media telecourse, Co-Creating a Thriving World.
He was a delegate at the UN World Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 2002 where the Coalition was founded, and he created and produced the Sustainable World Symposium in 2004 and 2006 in San Francisco. He is also a facilitator trainer for the Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream Symposium, which is presented in over 60 countries.
